1. Agreement and service
By using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Notice. You must be legally capable of entering this agreement. The service hosts and moderates user-generated allegations; it does not certify that any user, report, response, or subject is truthful, fraudulent, safe, or unsafe.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate account and contact information, safeguard access to your account, and promptly tell us of unauthorised use. One person may not create accounts to evade moderation or impersonate another person.
3. Reports, comments, and evidence
You may submit only material you honestly believe is accurate, based on first-hand experience or information you are authorised to provide. You must distinguish fact from opinion, include relevant context, and avoid threats, abuse, extortion, discrimination, doxxing, fabricated evidence, or allegations made recklessly or maliciously.
You must redact passwords, authentication codes, full payment-card or bank details, government identifiers, medical data, private addresses, information about minors, and unrelated third-party data. Evidence is not public by default.
4. Your promises
You represent that your submission does not knowingly infringe privacy, confidentiality, intellectual-property, contractual, or other rights and is not false, misleading, defamatory, or unlawful. You remain responsible for your content and its consequences.
5. Licence
You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, secure, reproduce, redact, format, moderate, display, communicate, and archive it as needed to operate the service, handle disputes, comply with law, and preserve records. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for backups, legal holds, audit records, and material we must retain by law.
6. Moderation and publication
Submission does not guarantee publication. We may request evidence; invite a response; add warnings, labels, or context; limit comments; correct or unpublish material; or close an account. Moderation is a risk-reduction process, not a judicial determination.
7. Responses and dispute review
A reported party may submit a concise factual response without paying a review fee. The optional US$299 dispute-resolution service pays for a structured review of counter-documentation. Payment does not buy removal and does not guarantee a favourable decision. Possible outcomes include no change, correction, qualification, addition of a response, temporary unpublication, or removal. Unless required by law or our refund policy, the review fee becomes non-refundable when substantive review begins.
8. Weekly subscription
Weekly Scam Alerts costs US$9.99 per month unless a different price is clearly shown at checkout. Stripe processes recurring payments. Billing continues until cancelled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Taxes may apply. You can manage payment details and cancellation through Stripe’s customer portal.
9. Legal process and harmful submissions
If a submission is alleged to be fraudulent, false, defamatory, harassing, or unlawful, we may preserve relevant records and cooperate with valid legal process, including subpoenas and court orders. Subject to applicable law, this may include account identifiers, verified contact details, timestamps, access records, original submissions, evidence, edits, comments, and moderation history. We do not promise to assist one side beyond preserving evidence, responding lawfully, and providing records when authorised or required.
10. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or terminate access for policy breaches, legal risk, security threats, payment failure, abuse of the dispute process, or attempts to manipulate reports or comments. Users may ask us to close their account, subject to retention and legal-hold obligations.
11. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and do not accept responsibility for decisions made solely from user-generated material, third-party conduct, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer rights.
12. Changes and governing terms
We may update these Terms prospectively and will provide reasonable notice of material changes. The operating entity, registered address, governing law, courts, and consumer-dispute information must be inserted before launch and will form part of these Terms.
